Before becoming a wealth management advisor, I was the kid in high school with subscriptions to Fortune and Money magazine. The stock market always intrigued me, but growing up I didn’t know anyone that invested. I was fortunate to go to a school that had a business magnet program that allowed me to intern at one of the largest independent broker-dealers in the country. This exposure at such an early age proved to be very formative. I went away to college and when I got back, was able to land a position in banking which later led to my journey as president of my own firm. Over the last 2 decades, since that adventure began, I have had the challenge and pleasure of helping clients with their financial lives.

The goal of our firm is to provide “Direction through life’s transitions.” I start any client relationship with a financial plan. The plan is client-centric and not product-focused. The investment strategies I provide evolve from the consultative process with my clients. This extensive knowledge of financial planning and investment tactics, allows me to implement a confident approach to investing.

I am a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® (CRPC), a Certified Exit Planning Advisor® (CEPA) and a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor ® (CPFA), in addition, I am a 2022 Top 50 under 50 honoree by the Association of African American Financial Advisors. My wife, Melanie and daughter, Elle, are the driving forces behind the mission of Wealth Standard Financial. We are active with our local church and volunteer organizations. We are patron members of the Museum of Fine Arts, the Houston Zoo, and the Museum of Natural Science.
